Water and Sewer

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your water bill, please contact the City Finance Office at 605-384-3741. 

Any problems with water or sewer service, please contact City Hall and the Water Department will be notified.

Water/Sewer bills are distributed monthly and are to be paid in full by the 10th of each month. After the 10th of the month, a $5 late fee will be accessed. After the 20th of the month, water service is subject to shut off with a $25 reconnect fee. If the 10th or the 20th falls on a weekend or a holiday, you will have the next business day.

Effective September 1, 2015, after a second (2nd) water disconnection for non-payment, the reconnection fee will be $100.00.  It will remain to be $100.00 until one (1) year has passed with no water disconnections for non-payment. 

Hookup
- A $150.00 deposit is required for service
- A copy of Driver’s License or ID card is required with deposit. 

- A water and sewer agreement application needs to be filled out.

Disconnect

Deposit will be returned when:

·  Disconnect request is completed

·  Voucher requesting refund is completed

·  Account is PAID IN FULL

·  Deposit will only be returned to person who signed for the water deposit upon verification by photo ID

Payment Options

The City of Wagner accepts cash, check, money order and automatic bill pay as payment methods. Credit cards are accepted by the City but only for water and sewer payments. Call 1-877-885-7968 to pay your water and sewer with a credit card. Have you account number ready and the amount you wish to pay.

In person payment may be brought to the Finance Office, use southwest door, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. or can be placed in the drop box on the southwest side of City Hall near the Finance Office entrance.

Automatic Payment Plan

Water/sewer bills may be paid through an automatic debiting of your checking account. A voided check will need to be submitted. To enroll with your savings account, a letter from your Financial Institution will need to be submitted stating your active account and routing number. An authorization form can be picked up at the Finance Office, to enroll in the automatic bill payment program.
