Wagner Park Reservations

Wagner City Park and Wagner Lake Reservation Policy and Procedures

The City of Wagner will allow and encourage the public to reserve facilities for group picnicking at Wagner City Park and Wagner Lake. Reservations will be taken April 1st up until prior to Labor Day, but not to include Labor Day.  These facilities are for recreation purposes only.  No rummage sales or any other type of business may be conducted where money is exchanged if not approved by the City of Wagner Finance Office.

For the time being the picnic shelters will be named as follows:

Shelter “A”East picnic shelter at Wagner City Park
Shelter “B” West picnic shelter at Wagner City Park
Shelter “C” Picnic shelter at Wagner Lake
Shelter “D” Rotary shelter at Wagner Lake
Gazebo & Clubhouse Patio at Wagner Lake

To make reservations please call the Wagner City Finance Office – Monday though Friday, 8 am to noon and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  The phone number is 384-3741.

Upon a party calling in for a reservation the following information will be obtained:

Responsible party’s name and address

Designate which shelter or gazebo & clubhouse patio

Time using the shelter

Contact person’s phone number

At this time, there will be no charge for the reservation.  The City of Wagner reserves the right to change this policy.

There will be a two-hour grace period from when the shelter is to be occupied.  After that time, anyone from the public may use the shelter or the gazebo and clubhouse patio.

Please keep our recreational facilities looking nice and clean up after yourselves.  If a reservation area is found to be unacceptably cleaned the day after a reservation, that party will be denied any future reservations.

This information will be recorded in a reservation book at the City Finance Office.  The information will then be passed on to the Street Maintenance Department and to the Police Department.

The Street Maintenance Department will post the reservation in an enclosed case at the shelter of the party that has the reservation that includes the party’s name, date and time of reservation.  The case will also include a copy of these policies and procedures.

The Police Department may be called if issues/conflict arise with parties using picnic shelters or gazebo.  Please call 384-3222 and a City Police Officer will be dispatched.
